A FREE virtual program about Leonard’s new young people’s biography, Mr. Lincoln Sits for His Portrait, hosted by Books of Wonder
3:00 PM – 4:00 PM Eastern Time
In this lively illustrated program, Leonard shares his thoughts about the special challenge of writing in a fresh and illuminating way about one of American history’s most iconic figures, Abraham Lincoln and takes the well-known photo of Lincoln reading to his son Tad as the jumping-off point for an eye-opening look at the sixteenth president’s fascination with new technologies, his genius for communicating by word and image; and his stubborn resolve to be a good father not only to his own children but also to the people of a divided nation.
