The Cathedral and nonprofit publisher Library of America invite you to celebrate the centenary of Madeleine L’Engle, who was the Cathedral’s Writer in Residence for over 30 years. Library of America has just issued L’Engle’s beloved 1962 classic A Wrinkle in Time and all seven of its sequels (The Kairos Novels) in an authoritative new two-volume edition. These novels feature the trailblazing heroines Meg Murry and her daughter Polly. Leonard S. Marcus, who edited the collection, will discuss the historical importance of L’Engle’s writing, and young scholars from The Cathedral School who have recently discovered A Wrinkle in Time will share their favorite excerpts from the book that continues to delight those of all ages today.
